This initial session also includes a total body workout so that you can get a sense for how our fitness programs work.
The session begins with a thorough review of your health and exercise history, as well as a discussion of your fitness goals and interests:
- Do you want to lose weight?
- Would you like to build strength in your upper body, core, back, etc?
- Do you seek a higher level of energy, better sleep, less stress?
- Are you interested in developing muscles that are tone?
- Do you want to increase your flexibility?
Finally, we also discuss your schedule, any barriers you have to staying motivated, and what kind of trainer you think you would be best matched up with. And of course, if at all possible, we do a short workout to get you going and show your trainer will likely approach your program. The inSHAPE consultation session lasts approximately an hour, and we assign you to your member of our team within a couple of days after.
