Hatha is a slow paced, stretching discipline with simple breathing exercise and seated meditation. Hatha is an excellent way for beginners to learn basic poses, practice relaxation techniques and become comfortable with yoga.
The word, Vinyasa means breath-synchronized movement; the instructor will move you from one pose to the next on an inhale or exhale. The technique is called Vinyasa Flow or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses blend together like a dance.
Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures; this discipline allows the body to renew and heal. It’s often described as “active relaxation,” and poses are held for up to ten minutes to release muscle tension and increase range of motion.
